A classy restaurant with great views of Whitefish Lake, just out the windows. This is a perfectly done flanksteak.
Montana is huckleberry country, if you can shoo away the grizzly to pick them. This is a GREAT huckleberry ice cream pie I had for dessert.
Give customers a reason to do business with you.
I visited Nobu in New York City a year or so after they opened, loved it, then in Malibu in 2017, and was not impressed. However Kat and I stopped on the way back from L.A. this year and LOVED it. Even Kat, who's not a sushi fan. We enjoyed a filet dish and this shrimp and lobster...both WORLD CLASS.
We've eaten in both locations several times and never been disappointed. This is not what I'd call classic Mexican--a little on the grind side like most California Mexican restaurants, but still excellent. I had this Cilantro Shrimp dish, generous with perfect shrimp. Had the family and everyone was more than happy. This was the Oxnard location on Victoria, with valet parking (weekend), a great bar, and super view of the harbor.
Croissant French toast. Doesn't look like much in this pic, but it's to die for. The restaurant is next to it's sister biz, Le Petit Bakery with superb breads, etc.
On our way home to Montana we stayed with good friends Ron and Michelle, and she's a fabulous cook: Salmon and spinach in puff pastry and a carrot cake that made you want to sing!
And the green beans were perfect as well.
On the way home to Montana we had brunch with good friend Ranetta, and the menu said "duck hash" so I couldn't resist. The fact was it was duck benedict, but who's complaining. It was delicious.
